Overview
We cruise along the coastline of the beautiful waterway adjacent to the township of Coffin Bay, Kellidie Bay. You will enjoy freshly shucked oysters as you hear all about oyster farming and the history associated. First stop is to visit the nursery oyster farms situated in the middle of Kellidie Bay. Here you will see how the oysters are grown with the new adjustable longline technique. Next stop is the original oyster farm still with the original fixed rail method of growing oysters. Your tour guide will be the oyster farmer who will share his oyster farming knowledge with you. With this 1 hr tour there is not enough time to visit the fattening/growing areas 16 km by boat at the entrance to the coffin bay waterway but this is the next best thing if you are short on time. We require minimum 4 people in total booked on this tour for it to proceed. If you are booking for less than this we will advise via message/email if we have other bookings to reach the minimum.

Meet us at the Coffin Bay yacht club. The yacht club is opposite the IGA supermarket and service station. You will see our departure point sign to the left of the yacht club building. Head on down to the floating marina jetty for boarding. Please arrive 15 mins prior to tour start time.

What To Expect
Explore the waterway adjacent to the Coffin Bay township. View the Kellidie Bay nursery oyster farms including the original first oyster farm in Coffin Bay and a cruise around the Coffin Bay township waterway and enjoy a look at the town from the water. Learn the history of oyster farming from the farmer himself along the way. Tour is 1hr. 6 freshly shucked oysters is included in the tour price. Local wine, beer and extra oysters are available for purchase when you book. For true oyster lovers who want to indulge in a few more fresh morsels extra oysters will also be available for purchase during the tour. With so much to see and do in a day visiting Coffin Bay we know some visitors only have time for a quick look around the bay by boat, eat some yummy fresh oysters, see an oyster farm and then hop off again to go and explore all the other sights of Coffin Bay. The farmer is your host. This tour is chilled and relaxed.
