Situated near Luxor, Egypt, the Karnak Temple Complex, also known as the Karnak Open Air Museum, encompasses a sprawling assortment of ancient structures including temples, chapels, pylons, and other edifices. Its construction commenced under the reign of Senusret I during the Middle Kingdom and extended into the Ptolemaic period, with the majority of surviving buildings originating from the New Kingdom era.

Proceed with your exploration to Luxor Temple, a testament to the diverse religious history of Egypt, encompassing Pharaonic, Christian, and Islamic influences. These two temples are linked by the grand Sphinx Avenue spanning over 3 kilometers. Luxor Temple, situated on the eastern bank of the Nile in what is now called Luxor (ancient Thebes), dates back to around 1400 BCE. Referred to in the Egyptian language as ipet resyt, meaning "the southern sanctuary," Luxor boasts numerous magnificent temples on both its eastern and western banks.

This sacred site houses over 62 tombs of the kings from the New Kingdom era, dating back to 1550 BC. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to explore three of these remarkable tombs. The Valley of the Kings served as the burial ground for pharaohs and influential nobles of the New Kingdom for nearly 500 years, spanning from the 16th to 11th century BC. Situated on the west bank of the Nile, opposite modern Luxor, within the heart of the Theban Necropolis, the valley comprises two main areas: the East Valley, where the majority of royal tombs are located, and the West Valley.

Explore the stunning Hatshepsut Temple, a marvel of modern design boasting three terraces. Also known as the Djeser-Djeseru, this ancient Egyptian mortuary temple lies in Upper Egypt and was commissioned by the Eighteenth Dynasty pharaoh Hatshepsut. Nestled beneath the cliffs at Deir el-Bahari on the western bank of the Nile, close to the Valley of the Kings, this temple is dedicated to Amun and Hatshepsut. Adjacent to the mortuary temple of Mentuhotep II, which served as both inspiration and quarry, the Hatshepsut Temple is revered as one of the "incomparable monuments of ancient Egypt.

Visit Colossi of Memnon the two huge statues of Amenhotep III behind it you can see the ruins of his temple. The Colossi of Memnon (Arabic: el-Colossat or es-Salamat) are two massive stone statues of the Pharaoh Amenhotep III, who reigned in Egypt during the Dynasty XVIII. Since 1350 BCE, they have stood in the Theban Necropolis, located west of the River Nile from the modern city of Luxor.
