Betty's Hope
Betty's Hope, Antigua's first large-scale sugar plantation, was founded in 1650 by Governor Keynell and developed by the Codrington family from 1674. It became a model estate, known for its efficiency and innovative sugar production techniques. On your visit, you'll see restored windmills, the still house, water catchment systems, and the remains of the manager's house.
