A Fox Fairy of Tianmen Mountain is known as the world’s first real-scene musical drama with the high mountains and deep valleys as the stage background. Originated from a traditional Chinese myth and folk love tale - "Love between Man and Fox", a heart-wrenching love story is presented on this stage. The drama integrates the elements of folk music and modern art, here you can enjoy the spectacular scenery, listen to sweet singing, admire colorful lighting scene, and experience the strong folk custom of Tujia and Miao minorities.

The show starts at 20:20PM, Pick-up and drop-off service is provided from any hotels in Zhangjiajie City(at 19:30PM), it takes 20minutes from Zhangjiajie city to the outdoor theater, please provide your hotel information or location to us so that we can pick you up at the right place. For a better understanding of the amazing show, following is the story introduction: Act 1 On a full moon night thousands of years ago, in the fox world in Tianmen Mountain, the supreme fox king would elect a new princess. The beauties transformed by the fox fairies were too charming, but the king fell in love with white fox fairy at the first sight. He gives the orb symbolizing power to her and announced his wedding in three days. However, the White Fox Fairy, who yearns for freedom and love, does not want such a life... act 2 At dawn, the pure and happy human life fascinates the White Fox Fairy. Visiting the village, Liu Hai's bright smile and tolerant mind deeply moved the White Fox Fairy so much so that she was surrounded by villagers without even realizing it. At the critical moment, Liu Hai stepped forward and saved the White Fox Fairy from the trouble even if he was injured. Thus the two used the pigeon flower as a matchmaker and began a touching and strange love between man and fox... Act 3 The lonely Liu Hai, approached the door of his house and found that there were invisible people cleaning up the messy home and cooking sweet rice. Through the bronze mirror, Liu Hai saw the white fox fairy on the moon. A red hijab fell from the sky, and Liu Hai personally covered it on the head of the white fox fairy in the mirror. As evidenced by the mountains and rivers, the two officially became husband and wife. But at the moment when the hijab was unveiled, the white fox fairy was caught by two foxes, Liuhai also get spelled and causing him to fall softly... Act 4 Ignoring the warning that the White Fox Fairy is a life-threatening vixen, Liu Hai insisted on his trust in the Fox Fairy's love. The desolate call echoed for thousands of years... Act 5 The snowflakes fell one year after a year, and the villagers and the Fox King turned into stone sculptures. Rumors also disappeared. In the pure white world, only Liu Hai and the White Fox Fairy were left to watch... After a hundred years of heavy snow, the earth shook, Liu Hai and the White Fox fairy has stood for thousands of years. Two rocks began to grow and get closer in mid-air. The everlasting love finally touched the world. At the moment when they came together, the embrace that had been waiting for thousands of years finally had the moment to embrace each other... The amazing love achieved through thousands of years of watching also resurrected the fox and the villagers, and this love gained their eternal blessing.

Please Note: every night except harsh winter month it will be on show at the Grand Valley of Tianmen Mountain. When weather gets cold, please do bring a coat to enjoy it.
