What To Expect
Live a real and authentic experience of Mayan culture by immersing yourself in culinary art and the ancestral art of pottery.
Immersed in the heart of a Mayan family, you will discover the traditional ingredients and spices used in Mayan cuisine. (plants, vegetables, herbs, spices)
You will learn how to prepare one of their signature dishes.
She will share with you these tips and family secrets passed down from generation to generation.
You will have the opportunity to participate and mixing the ingredients and taste your Mayan culinary creations.
Then, in the Mayan calligraphy workshop, you will discover the ancient form of writing used by the Mayans.
They will teach you the basics of this unique writing and guide you to write your first name in Maya.
You will learn the different symbols and characters used in Mayan writing and understand their meaning.
You will be able to choose the symbols corresponding to the letters of your first name and learn to trace them precisely on special paper or other traditional supports.
