Kumamoto Castle
*It takes about 2 hours from Fukuoka. You can see cherry blossoms everywhere from the windows of your chartered bus (especially on the expressway)! < cherry blossoms AM and lunch > KUMAMOTO Castle, Chuo ward, Kumamoto : If you wish to enter Kumamoto Castle's tower, it will cost 800 yen per person, so please pay the entrance fee on-site. *If you take a walk while viewing the cherry blossoms from outside, it is free. You can also have lunch on the grounds of Kumamoto Castle for around 1,500 yen per person. Please pay for your meals at the restaurant on-site. Kumamoto Castle itself has a high value, and Japanese tourists say it is one of the best castles in Japan. Even if the cherry blossoms are not in bloom yet, it's still worth a visit! The iconic Kumamoto castle that we see today was completed in 1607 by Kato Kiyomasa, the first daimyo (feudal lord) of the castle, with great effort and the latest technology.

Akizuki Castle Remains
*It takes about 2 hours from Kumamoto Castle, Kumamoto city. You can see cherry blossoms everywhere from the windows of your chartered bus (especially on the expressway)! < cherry blossoms PM-1 > Akizuki Castle Ruins, 663 Akizukinotori, Asakura, Fukuoka : The most popular cherry blossom viewing spot in Fukuoka Prefecture in 2024. "Akizuki, a little Kyoto in Chikuzen, famous for its cherry blossoms and autumn leaves." In 1623 (Genna 9), under the will of Nagamasa Kuroda, lord of the Fukuoka domain, 50,000 koku were allocated to his third son Nagaoki, and the Akizuki domain was established. The following year, Nagaoki built and settled in Akizuki Castle. It was a small castle in the form of a camp, and the castle was divided into the Omote-goden (government office), where the Akizuki Junior High School was located, and the Okugoden (living quarters of the feudal lord).
