There are many routes to choose from Including-
Jozankei Tengu-dake. Distance: Approximately 9.2 kilometers.
Highest Point: The summit of Jozankei Tengu-dake at 1145 meters.
Difficulty- 7/10.
Sapporo-dake: Views from the summit, enjoy vistas across Sapporo City, Mount Yotei, Muine-yama, and Jozankei-tengu. Diff-5/10.
Soranuma-dake is a great option for a day hike, offering beautiful, forested trails and serene lake views. Diff-3/10.
Tiene-dake:Location: Tiene-dake is west of Sapporo City with sweeping views of The Sea of Japan. Diff-5/10.
Muine-yama-dake: A steady hike via a hut and small lakes. Diff-5/10.

Soranuma-dake, standing at 1,251 meters, is a day hike near Sapporo, offering panoramic views and a chance to escape into nature. The trailhead begins at a quarry and leads through lush forests to two rustic huts by a serene pond, perfect for a rest. The ascent, taking approximately four hours, rewards hikers with stunning vistas of Sapporo city, Lake Shikotsu, and the surrounding mountains. With a total distance of 17.5 kilometers and a moderate difficulty rating, this hike is best enjoyed from May to late November, when the trail has less snow.
A more challenging day hike is to Jozankei Tengu dake. This ancient volcano, standing at 1145 meters, has been sculpted into a series of rugged summits, surrounded by cliffs, offering hikers a challenging experience. The ascent begins with a walk beside a river, followed by a steep climb aided by ropes, leading to a narrow ridge with breathtaking views as. The best time to visit is from May to late November, when the trail is most accessible.
