A trip to see a landscape of green mountains with the highest waterfall in Colombia. Walk to the waterfall La Chorrera the highest stepped water fall in Colombia, sixth in South America and 60 in the world with 6 falls in itself with a height of more than 500 meters, crystal clear drinking water, we find it in its greater rage in the winter months, as its flow increases and shows all its majesty, located an hour and a half on the driving route from the city of Bogotá to the municipality of Choachí. On this ecological tour we will also have the possibility to visit the Chiflon waterfall, a 55 meter high waterfall where you pass behind the water curtain at 40 meters.

What To Expect
If you like nature and connect with fresh air, this is your best plan. A walk to the La Chorrera waterfall where you will feel the beauty of the landscapes and grandeur of one of the highest waterfalls in Colombia. The Aventura la Chorrera park is located 1 hour from Bogotá in the municipality of Choachí on the Cordillera Oriental in the department of Cundinamarca, to get there we passed the mountain through the majesty of the Cruz Verde paramo and then we went into the mountain in search La Chorrera waterfall, the highest waterfall in stepped fall of Colombia, the sixth in South America and the number 60 in the world, is 590 meters high. Even in part of the route you will pass behind the waterfall where you will see a curtain of water and an ideal breeze to feel nature in all its splendor.

On the way to the chorrera we find another waterfall called “El Chiflón” a little lower but no less beautiful that allows us to pass under its cloak to observe incredible irises that form its drops. Then we will enter by stone trails that we can climb by climbing, giving a touch of adventure to our trip. We will cross cloud forests, silly palms and even the tree of desire. Finally, if you want to take a good memory home, you can buy a variety of handicrafts made from wool and seeds by the inhabitants of the region.
