The traditional mountain lifestyle in harmony with nature and the recycling agriculture method utilizing plant resources developed in each mountain village are being reevaluated for their value.
Pottering down along the Iya River, feeling the wind of Iya, a paradise where people live happily, and being soothed by folk songs sung by local residents and artfully created scarecrows, you will be able to enjoy the beauty of Iya.

What To Expect
Nagoro Scarecrow Village
It is a village where scarecrows live, visited by tourists from all over the world. You will taste the traditional local food of Iya, which is called the "unexplored region", at a farmhouse restaurant. Potter around the unexplored region of the world while viewing the mountains of Iya and experiencing the ancient mountain life such as suspension bridges.
