Overview
This day trip takes us back to ancient times. We'll leave the modern town of Timi?oara to visit the remains of the capital of the once mighty kingdom of Dacia. The ruins are hidden in the mountains of Or??tie and gives us the opportunity to take a nice little hike of about 30 minutes in mountain air to reach the site. Add to this some tasty traditional Romanian food for a perfect day!

What To Expect
Sarmizegetusa Regia
Sarmizegetusa Regia was the capital and the most important political, military and religious center of ancient Dacia. The ruins were brought to light in the 1950s, when archeologists discovered the sanctuaries and the citadel. Since 1999 Sarmizegetusa Regia is part of UNESCO world heritage together with other six Dacian fortresses of the area.
