This a a guided small-group or private tour to feel the historical core of Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. Make unforgettable memories by walking in Old City (Icheri Sheher) a UNESCO World Heritage Site surrounded by 12th-century walls and full of Oriental architecture and medieval history. Within the atmospheric walls, you'll find a wonders of narrow passages home to a few thousand residents as well as museums, monuments, art galleries, all sorts of restaurants and much more in a living open-air museum. Learn about the historical places as your professional guide takes you to see the city’s main attractions, such as Medieval Caravanserais, Shirvanshah Palace, Churches, Maiden Tower (Giz Galasi), Bath Houses, House of Baku Khans, Mosques, Miniature Book Museum and so forth.

After meeting in front the Double Gate (Qosha Qala Qapisi) the Main gate of Baku Old City, our guide start to explain about the tour plan and general history of the Old City.

In this level of the tour covers the history medieval caravanserai life. Guest will be explained about trading of Silk Road, caravan destinations, number of historical caravanserais in Baku and generally in Azerbaijan.

Maiden Tower
Guide will explain about the history of Maiden Tower and other protection and observation towers in Baku. Here admission fee is about 9 USD per person to enter the Maiden Tower. While visiting inside Museum, guests will see the historical materials found around the Tower in the lower floors and modern guns in the upper floors by stepping through the narrow turning steps. Also, guests will have the chance to see the whole Caspian See and buildings around Old City on the top of the Maiden Tower. General duration in front of the Tower is 10 minutes with explanation and photo shoots. If the guests enter inside the Museum, duration will take about 30 minutes.

St. Bartholomew Church
St. Bartholomew Church was built in 1892 at the expense of donations from the local Christian population on the site where the Apostle Bartholomew was believed to have been killed. It was built on the foundations of the first and oldest church in Baku. The church continued to operate until 1936, then it was demolished as a part of the campaign against religion.

Miniature Books
The Museum of Miniature Books, located within the old city - Icheri Sheher, is included in the Guinness Book of Records as the museum with the largest number of miniature books. The creator of the museum, Zarifa Salahova has amassed this unique collection over the past 30 years. The only museum of miniature books in the world opened its doors on April 2, 2002. Today, the museum holds a unique collection of over 5,600 books published in 66 countries around the world. Entrance to Miniature books museum is free.

Palace of the Shirvanshahs
The Palace of the Shirvanshahs is a 15th-century palace built by the Shirvanshahs and described by UNESCO as "one of the pearls of Azerbaijan's architecture". It is located in Old City. Azerbaijan and, together with the Maiden Tower, forms an ensemble of historic monuments inscribed under the UNESCO World Heritage List of Historical Monuments. Guide will give detailed information about the statehood of Azerbaijan since the ancient time till today. Also, you will be explained about the complex contains the main building of the palace, Divanhane, the burial-vaults, the shah's mosque with a minaret, Seyid Yahya Bakuvi's mausoleum (the so-called "mausoleum of the dervish"), south of the palace, a portal in the east, Murad's gate, a reservoir and the remnants of a bath house.

Quadrangular Tower
The tower was built in the 14th century and was an integral part of the fortress wall and the defensive fortifications in Baku. Construction was done to maintain the architecture and integrity of the fortress walls.
