The Isle of Man is a UNESCO Biosphere reserve and is the perfect location for a wildlife & scenic adventure. Venturing into the wilderness, you may be the only people for miles around. The Island hosts a healthy population of Hen Harriers and Choughs. Peregrine Falcons can be spotted in both cliff habitats and urban areas. Depending on the season various bird species can be seen including Gannets, Curlew, Skylark, and Tern colonies, along with marine wildlife. We will explore some of our protected and rare habitats such as the Ayres National Nature Reserve with its distinctive landscape of shingle, sand dunes and beautiful lichen heath where a number of Orchids grow. Every tour can be tailored to suit your pace, preferences, and individual needs including visiting places that are wheelchair accessible if required, so don’t hesitate to get in touch and discuss your specific needs with us. The tour timings allow for travel between points of interest and refreshments stops.
If you are coming off a cruise ship or the Isle of Man Steam Packet Ship then I can meet you at the Cruise Welcome desk which is found as you come into the main Steam Packet building from the getting off the ship and clearly marked. For all other travelers I can meet you at the front entrance door.
This activity ends back at the meeting point.
Contact made via email / media / telephone message. I can meet you at an arranged and convenient pick up point with accurate instructions as to where I will be to meet you. Drop off point does not need to be the same as your pick up point and can be arranged as needed for your convenience.

As we visit the most northerly point on the Island we are now closer to Scotland at just 14 miles away than we are from the Capital Douglas. This area is known as the Northern plain and is mad up from sand and gravel that were deposited during and after the last Ice Age. The low lying lichen heath and shingle beaches provide a haven for a variety of wildlife. Depending on the season there will be opportunity to look for Choughs, Nesting Terns and various Waders and Sea birds. Atlantic Grey Seals are often seen bobbing around in the water or hauled up on the shore resting.
