What To Expect
Seychelles National Botanical Gardens
Located in the capital city of Victoria on Mahé Island, the Seychelles National Botanical Gardens is a lush and verdant oasis that has stood for over a century. Spanning 15 acres, the gardens are home to a wide range of endemic and exotic plants, including a diverse collection of palm trees, spice plants, fruit trees, and an orchid house boasting a variety of stunning orchids. In addition to the flora, the gardens also house giant Aldabra tortoises adding to the charm of this natural haven. Walking trails meander provides visitors with a peaceful escape from the bustling city. The gardens also host educational tours, promoting environmental awareness and the importance of plant conservation. For those seek-ing to understand and appreciate the unique biodiversity of the islands it is the place to be.

Mission Lodge Lookout
Historical site and part of the Morne Seychellois national parks. Ancient school for freed slave children. Ruins still visible today. Small kiosk where one can enjoy stunning panoramic views of the western coast. Queen had tea in 1972.

Domaine de Val des Pres - Craft Village
Located at Au Cap. Traditional Creole Village. Showcases life in Seychelles during the Colonial Era (1811 to 1976). Attractions: Planters house, servants quarters, artisanal kiosks, traditional restaurant. Free entrance. New attraction Mize Koko, featuring a range of items, used in the past as well as today still, made entirely out of parts of the coconut tree.

Sauzier Waterfall
The waterfall is a must-visit attraction that is located in Port Glaud and runs on the Rivière L’Isletta on the west coast of Mahe Island, Seychelles. Some of the purest water flow on the rocks forming a pool of water below that is mostly enjoyed by swimming. The waterfall is easy to reach via a short 5-minute nature trail walk starting in the village of Port Glaud.
