The monument to the Italian Sailor is a rudder-shaped structure about 53 meters high that stands out on the port of Brindisi; the structure is in reinforced concrete entirely covered in carparo (compact calcarenitic stone of a golden colour).

Castello Svevo di Brindisi
The Swabian Castle of Brindisi, also called Castello di Terra or Swabian-Aragonese Castle, is located close to the historic center of Brindisi, a part of it overlooks the inner part of the city port, also defending this important area of the city.

Colonne Terminali della Via Appia
The Roman Columns of Brindisi are a monument located at the port of the city. Originally they were two twin columns, unique in the architectural panorama of antiquity. As such they were depicted as the emblem of the city as early as the 14th century.

Castello Aragonese
The Alfonsino Castle, also called Castel Rosso, from the color of the carparo blocks used for its construction, or Castello di Mar, is a complex fortified work built on the island of Sant'Andrea, at the mouth of the external port of Brindisi. In the dock behind the Castle you can still enjoy an aperitif of Apulian specialties and drink prosecco.
