You begin at Thang long Imperial Citadel, which was built in 11th century in marking of Vietnam Independence. It was built on the remain of a Chiness fortress dating from 7th century, on drained land reclaimed from the Red River Delta in Hanoi. The Citadel witnessed a serries of dramatic changes thoughout the Vietnam history and braced itself through a number of destructive wars. The most nobtable part of Thang Long Citadel is Centre Sector, which was listed as one of the UNESCO Cultural Heritage Sites in 2010.

Continue to visit Museum of Vienam National History, where exhibites thousands of artifacts, documents of Vietnamese from prehistoric to present time. Old Quarter
Drive back to Hanoi Centre for short walking tour through the Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem lake to enjoy the bustling local life.
