Overview
Haridwar presents a kaleidoscope of Indian culture and civilization. Haridwar termed as 'Gateway to Gods' is also known as Mayapuri, Kapila, and Gangadhar.
The followers of Lord Shiva (Har) and followers of Lord Vishnu (Hari) pronounce this place Haridwar and Hardwar respectively as told by some. It is also a point of entry to Dev Bhoomi and Char Dham (Four main centers of pilgrimage in Uttarakhand Viz. Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri).
You first visit Har-Ki-Pauri bathing ghats, along with other Ghats including Maya Devi Temple, and later back to Hari ki Pauri to join the Ganga Aarti, an evening ceremony that starts around 5:30 PM. The guide will accompany you to every place to narrate the story and religious significance of each and every nearby place of Hari- Ki Pauri

Mansa Devi can be visited by walks or by ropeway which is located in the oldest part of Haridwar on the top of Hill.
