Overview
Hiking Kapetanovo Lake?
Like many lakes in Montenegro, this lake was created as a result of glacier activity, although there are legends about its origin and name – Kapetanovo.
Clear, green water and the reflection of the limestone rocks captivate visitors and it is increasingly becoming a favorite camping place for mountaineers and fishermen. You can go to the lake from the direction of Niksic over the mine "Zagrad" Luka Bojovi?a, Bar Bojovi?a and Nikšin Kiljan. The trip takes an hour and fifteen minutes. The road is paved until Luka Bojovi?a, further it is covered by pebbles. With careful driving the lake reach also the passenger cars. The other way to the lake, Velji Duboki is reserved only for the most powerful terrain vehicles.

What To Expect
Meeting point – Hotel Atrium 10:00
Transportation to the starting point with our vehicle 45 min approx… to the starting point of our hiking trip -Bare Bojovica.
We will take a path that leads between Big and Small Zurim mountains and continue until we reach the spectacular view point on the lake. After the brake we will continue downstream to the lake.
Arriving at the lake after 2h approx.. At the lake we are going to swim in this fresh water and also drink a coffee at the local house.
The way back we will take different path till we reach the car.
The lunch will be organized at the local house on Lukavica plateau, the place with 365 springs. We will eat at the beautiful natural shade in local house where we you will enjoy the company of local family and you will get closer look at Montenegrin history and tradition.
After the lunch and a break we are heading back to hotel.
Finish of the trip will be around 17h pm.
