Overview
This experience allows you to dig deep into some of the main ingredidents of the Greek cuisine and understand their importance in our daily diet. You will learn how to identify the best olive oil and taste a very wide range of honey varieties.
The tour will expose you to how Athenians do their daily shopping as we take you away from the tourist area and into the local market streets where small producer run businesses flourish and are an integral part of the community.
If you want to see Athens from an Athenian point of view, drink a coffee with locals and immerse yourself in Greek culture, then this is the tour for you.

What To Expect
Olive oil is the key ingredient in the mediterranean diet. Greek honey is said to be the best in the world!
Let us take you on an adventure around the market area of Athens where you will meet producers of exceptional products such as honey, olives and olive oil. We will also visit bakeries and coffee shops to taste and discover what the Athenians enjoy for breakfast.
Sample many honey and oil varieties from all over Greece and meet the producers of all of these products.
We will experience a full range of breakfast foods and Greek coffee
This tour will take you away from the touristic streets and give you an insight into where Athenians shop and socialise on a daily basis. You will see many small businesses selling local produce, often their own.
There will be opportunities to shop along the way and chat with the vendors that provide such delicous food to the local, Athenian residents.
This experience is not suited to vegans but our Traditional Greek Food in hidden Athens will suit all types of diets
