Come and share in the epic adventures of Mozambique Horse Safari where the legends of our rescued horses come to life. Open your eyes to a different world, where you will ride the beaches on a sprightly bay, swim in turquoise seas and share in our amazing way of life.
We have just over 40 horses, the majority being rescued from Zimbabwean farms at the height of political violence and retold in the international best seller One Hundred & Four Horses. Over the years we have taken on several other horses and recently acquired a herd of SA Boerperds. All our riding horses are schooled to a very high level with calm temperaments
Mozambiue Horse Safari is family run, with a strong sense of personal pride taken to ensure our riding and way of life will be a treasured memory. Meeting point
Chibuene, South Beach, Vilankulo. From Vilankulo follow signs to Archipelago Resort, take a left Just before Archipelago Resort when you see a wooden sign post to Dona Soraya. At the end of the road you will see the stables. Our coordinates for GPS are 22°02’20″S 35°19’17″E

What To Expect
The ride starts on the beach with a medium to full tide and is an absolute favourite. With our unique hands-on interaction, you will lead your horse into the shallow waters where our horses love to splash and wallow, there is always a sense of excitement as they thrash the water, then lay down to roll.
There is time for pictures before mounting up on a second horse bareback, then wading chest deep into the blue turquoise seas on our Ocean Walk. You will meander along the coastline looking out at colourful dhows and sandy beaches.
Ride Time: 15-25 minutes minutes bareback.
Playtime: 15-20 minutes on the beach with horses on a lead wallowing and rolling in the water.

- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
- Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
