Oceanico is the only group of bi-lingual marine biologists that are studying the populations of dolphins and whales in Huatulco.
Our spotter at the lighthouse finds whales and dolphins then sends the boat directly to them.
This ensures we have the most sightings in Huatulco and maximizes your time observing these amazing ocean travelers.
We have an underwater microphone to listen to the whales and dolphins communicating.
Our knowledgeable guides share their knowledge offering you an in depth look into the lives of the dolphins, whales and sea turtles.
Our adventures are educational, focused on sustainability, support whale research and contribute to conservation.

We meet 10 minutes before departure at the Chahué marina at the palapa roofed building next to the dock entrance. There are bathrooms there for our guests.

What To Expect
Get ready for a truly educational eco adventure specialized on respectfully observing whales, dolphins, sea turtles and all the amazing marine wildlife in Huatulco!
We meet 10 minutes before departure at the Chahué marina at the palapa roofed building next to the dock entrance. There are bathrooms there for our guests.
Meet our crew of Marine Biologists and enjoy a short briefing on the whale and dolphin species of Huatulco as we depart the marina. There are lifejackets for children up to 130kg.
We cruise to the area where our spotter at the lighthouse has located the whales and dolphins.
This unique approach ensures us the most whale and dolphin sightings in Huatulco.
As we observe the behaviors of the whales and dolphins our guide shares information about their amazing lives, our research projects and answers your questions.
We take high quality photos for our research projects. We share these photos with our guests after the tour.
There is a hydrophone (underwater microphone) to listen to the dolphins and whales communicating.
When it is time we say 'Adios y Gracias' to the whales and dolphins and cruise back to the Chahué marina for a short debriefing.

- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
