This is a unique, one-of-a-kind experience that we offer here at Oahu Experience. Join us and not only watch and be entertained but join us and be educated. Participate in exciting cultural activities that you can't find anywhere else on the island. Learn new skills and become immersed in the culture while taking home memories that you'll never forget!
What's Included
- Build and cook in an Imu (rock oven), Pound Kalo (Taro), make your own Lei, learn to drum and the fireknife dance!
- Authentic Hawaiian food including Kalua pig, poke, lu'au and much more!

What To Expect
Arrive and be greeted by our ohana (family) with Oli Aloha (a traditional Hawaiian chant). We jump right in to preparing the Hawaiian style “Imu” rock oven WITH our guests. Learn how to weave and make Ti leaf lei, pound Kalo (taro) into authentic Poi, a Hawaii staple, and gain a greater understanding of Malama Aina (taking care of the land) and Aloha Aina (love for the land). In addition to all these experiences, guest will also get to learn the Samoan Fireknife dance as well as Fireknife drumming! After, we will then open up the Imu and our ohana (family) will serve you traditional Hawaiian food, not just from the Imu but catered food as well from locally famous Hawaiian food truck, Fat Poi!
The entertainment will be like nothing you’ve experienced before…because you get to be a part of it! Drum alongside our professional drummer and dance with our Fireknife dancer! Join us in this once in a lifetime experience to become immersed in the culture make memories that will last a lifetime!

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
- Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
