Overview
Go back in time at the foot of Mt Fuji. Explore the retro, Showa era streets and all its offerings. Enjoy a true local dining experience and soak in the atmosphere, flavors and sounds at one of my favorite yakitori houses (grilled skewers).

I will meet you at the entrance of either Kawaguchiko station or Gekkouji Station. Just an 11 minute train ride from Kawaguchiko Station (7 minute taxi ride). 13 Minute walk from Shimoyoshida Station.

What To Expect
Meet at this historic and sleepy station, try a japanese snack sweet, and make our way to honcho street

Walk through the nostalgic area of Shimoyoshida honcho street. Enjoy the local shops, go thrifting, try some sake, take photos of iconic Mt Fuji with the old town in the foreground.
