In this half-day tour by private car, our guides bring you to Katsunuma, a town near Mt Fuji in the picturesque Koshu Valley, Japan's chief wine-producing region. There, at two award-winning wineries and a large wine cellar, you'll enjoy tasting delicious wines made from not only Western grapes but also the indigenous Koshu variety for which Japanese winemaking is best known.
The wineries we'll visit offer opportunities to learn about Japanese wines in enchanting countryside settings.
Our guides also bring you to vista points where you'll have magnificent views of the vineyards.

What To Expect
Our guides transport you by private car to Katsunuma, a town near Mt Fuji in the picturesque Koshu Valley, Japan's chief wine-producing region. From the veranda of a hilltop wine cellar, you'll have a bird's eye view of the vineyards and orchards of the picturesque Koshu Valley, Japan's chief wine-producing region and one of the country's bread baskets.

Budo no Oka
At a large cellar with a vast selection, you'll have an opportunity to taste wines from many of the local wineries. The hilltop location of the cellar offers panoramic views of the picturesque Koshu Valley and the vineyards below. If this wine cellar is closed on your tour date, we will substitute a visit to a third winery.
