We offer an incredible hands-on oyster shucking and tasting experience, featuring freshly shucked Prince Edward Island oysters with all of the perfect accompaniments! The world really is your oyster! We will be learning all about how oysters are grown in and around our beautiful island bays, rivers and stream. And of course we will be slurping our way with the best and freshest oysters for you and your guests to taste. We'll even teach you how to shuck your own, so that once you get back home and want to throw an oyster party of your own, you will have all the skills and knowledge to do so! This is truly the best oyster experience you will have while traveling here on Prince Edward Island. it is the ultimate "Oyster Tailgate Party". If you love oysters, this add on to the tour that you have already booked is a must have! This oyster tasting has been called the best oyster "Tailgate Party" you will have on the island. Fresh oysters, great sauces and a ton of knowledge passed on to our guests about the wonderful oysters grown in our waters.
What To Expect

This fresh oyster experience is only sold as an add on to our North Shore Island Tour. It is not sold as a separate experience. So, if you have booked a drive tour, you can add this on to that already booked drive tour.
Your host of your already booked drive tour is not just an experienced tour guide but has also been a chef all over the world for the past 35 years! The last 15 years, right here on Prince Edward Island. Chef Ross Munro has been a staple in the food scene here on PEI. You will get to taste the best of the best, freshest oysters shucked right in front of you by your very own tour guide, oyster guide and chef!
He will stop at that perfect spot and share his knowledge of this wonderful food nurtured right here in our beautiful Prince Edward island waters. The bays, coves, inlets, and rivers of the island all share one thing; they produce what we call the “Merroir” of these amazing oysters. Like “terroir” is to wine, Merroir is to these pristine waters.
This is a must have for the true oyster lover! You will not be disappointed. Most recently a few guests called this;

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
- Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
