Experience Hawaiian culture by getting lost in the melody, or trying to find it. Inspired by the rich and deep-rooted history of Hilo, the
property’s ocean front location, the musicians and h?lau that
have performed at the hotel over the years - the community and
our hotel guests are invited to enjoy a H??ike style l??au
experience.
While there you will be treated to an amazing Hawaiian Buffet, while
taking in traditional Hawaiian music. Hula and vignettes from various parts of Polynesia will share special stories of Hilo through the hands and expressions of the hula dancers and musicians

Continuing its enduring commitment to protecting, preserving, and perpetuating the Hawaiian culture, in partnership with Island Breeze Productions and Hālau Ka Lehua Pua Kamaehu, the Grand Naniloa Hotel Hilo – A DoubleTree by Hilton presents a re-launch of the Pāwehi Hōʻike once a month thereafter for the rest of 2024. Inspired by the rich and deep-rooted history of Hilo, the property’s ocean front location, the musicians and hālau that have performed at the hotel over the years - the community and our hotel guests are invited to enjoy a Hōʻike style lūʻau experience. Join us and enjoy the food, camaraderie, and traditional Hawaiian music. Hula and vignettes from various parts of Polynesia will share special stories of Hilo through the hands and expressions of the hula dancers and musicians.
