Overview
The workshop is beginner-friendly and does not require previous experience with ceramics, but it is also adapted for all skill levels if you already have experience! It's fun, social, and everyone will end up with at least one finished functional ceramic piece to keep. Many come alone, so don't worry if you don't have someone to bring with you! We all sit together, share stories, and have fun.
Valencia has a long history in the world of pottery and ceramics, dating back to the 14th century, influenced by both Islamic art and later by Italian Renaissance styles. Become a part of the ongoing story of ceramics in Valencia with this pottery class, where the focus is on modern style hand-building.

What To Expect
Enjoy the social atmosphere while creating your own ceramic pieces. Get an experience from Valencia you won’t forget. Craft custom mugs, plates, or vases. We embrace hand-building techniques and organic shapes.
Stoneware clay and tools used during the workshop are included, as well as engobes to paint your piece if you want.
The workshop is in Ruzafa, Valencia's vibrant district - a melting pot of artistic expressions. Enjoy the atmosphere and culture before or after the workshop.
Pottery artist Cristina will be guiding the session with instructions. After the workshop, the pieces will be fired and glazed, so you can keep them. The pieces are ready within 2-3 weeks after the workshop, and you can either pick them up or have them shipped to your home country (UPS, DHL or Correos shipping fee added). If you prefer, you can also leave your piece and select a ready-made finished piece as a memory.
Pottery and molding clay will help you unwind and escape from city life for a few hours. Feel the satisfaction of seeing your creation take shape and the pride of taking home a personalized souvenir from Valencia.
