Overview
This full-day adventure in the vicinity of Helsinki is designed to immerse you into Finnish nature, and consists of two parts. First part is dedicated to harmony between humans and nature - we will visit a beautiful manor, an art piece on its own, secludedly located on the lake shore. In the second part we'll be hiking in a pristine natural park, forgetting human interference at all.
Transitioning between the two, we'll stop for a lunch at a local grill restaurant.
Estimated total driving time is 2 hours, and we will spend around 5 hours outside the car. We will walk approximately 7 kilometers during this trip, and you can expect height differences and occasionally rough terrain, so I would describe the difficulty of this trip as moderate.
Please note that I am not a professional tour guide, however, I'll do my best to share knowledge that I have about our destinations, as well as my experience of eight years living in and exploring Finland.

I will pick you up at your place of residence, i.e. hotel, Airbnb or other place in Helsinki, Espoo or Vantaa. Car is a white Citroen C3.
What To Expect
Hvittrask
Our first destination is Hvitträsk manor, a "wilderness villa" - masterpiece of Finnish architecture and design, located on high ground overlooking a lake. We'll see interior of the house and take a walk in the gardens. Short drive from manor's gates, we'll leave the car on the side of the road and take little-known path to see the remnants of ancient rock paintings on the shore of the same lake. Please note that reaching rock paintings' spot, although safe, might be challenging for people with fear of heights and little children.

Next is a stop for lunch at a local grill restaurant, surrounded by farm fields. The restaurant is renowned for traditional blazed salmon (loimulohi), however, it's a game of luck to taste the salmon, as they might run out of it earlier in the day. Other dishes offered there are not in the least worse, though! Please note: only meat and fish options are available here. There is a kids' playground at this stop.

In the afternoon we'll undertake a 4.4 km hike in the natural park. The trail will lead us along lakes, rocky hills and marshy grounds. You will experience great diversity of vegetation and landscapes over such a short distance!
