Explore, with our expert guides, a little-known Mayan city where it is presumed that the "Puuc" style began, buildings decorated with beautiful fretwork and masks, this city was as important as Uxmal and Chichen Itzá, it even has a game of ball. Our next stop is a visit to the artisan town of Bécal, extraordinary hands make the traditional Jipi Japa hats, this elegant garment is created from a cave, humidity is necessary to be able to correctly weave the hats and other gala garments. Finally, we will visit a cenote to cool off and have fun swimming inside.

What To Expect
Oxkintok Ruins
Transfer from Mérida to Oxkintok 60 min. Archaeological exploration with our expert guide, in Oxkintok, an ancient Mayan city where the Puuc style originated 90 min.

Transfer from Oxkintok to Artisan workshop in Becal (30 min.) Bécal is a town where we will find artisans who are experts in weaving Jipi Japa hats and other garments with the same palm fiber. We will visit the house of one of the artisans and they will open the door to one of the caves where they handcraft these magnificent hats. (90 min.)

Transfer from Becal to the cenote (60 min.) In the town of Chochola, we will find an underground oasis, the Mayans call them Cenote, in their worldview, cenotes are entrances to the underworld called Xibalba. Our visit will be to rest and enjoy the fresh waters of the cenote to cool off and swim in it, we can use its facilities such as the restaurant for lunch (not included with direct payment|| 120 min,) Departure transfer from Cenote to Mérida (60 min)
