Overview
The Finnhorse is a cooperative, sweet and reliable co-worker. On horseback you can experience the untouched nature of Lapland.
You can participate in a private tour with 1-5 of your friends or family members.
In autumn you can enjoy the colourful forest scenery with autumn foliage, in the winter you'll hear the snow crunch beneath the hooves as snowcovered trees bend above our trail. In the spring the bright sunshine will glisten on the snow and you can hear the song of the first migratory birds and feel the warmth of the sun. In the summertime our hairy co-workers will mostly by vacationing in the pastures.
What's Included
- Helmet cap and riding helmet.
- Hot berry juice and traditional Finnish pastries
- You will need warm clothes suitable for riding, as well as shoes.
Meeting And Pickup
Meeting point
Aurora Horses farm is located at Santa Claus Village (SCV, the North End of Joulumaantie). You can easily get to SCV by bus, and from there there are good signs to the Aurora Horses farm. Please arrive at the meeting point on time. In case you are late, no refunds can be applied to your tour.

What To Expect
The maximum number of participants for a private riding excursion is 5 people. During the private excursion, the stable area is closed to other visitors.
In autumn you can enjoy the colourful forest scenery with autumn foliage, in the winter you'll hear the snow crunch beneath the hooves as snowcovered trees bend above our trail. In the spring the bright sunshine will glisten on the snow and you can hear the song of the first migratory birds and feel the warmth of the sun.
Our riding tours are slow-paced and participation in them does not require previous riding experience.
At the end of the ride we'll enjoy a warm drink and cookies at the campfire and you'll hear story of Finnhorses.
For safety reasons and for wellbeing of our horses, riding excursions are for people over 5 years of age and who weight less than 120kg (265 pounds).

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
- Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
