Ṣadr al-Dīn Qūnawī [alternatively, Qūnavī, Qūnyawī], (Persian: صدر الدین قونوی; 1207–1274), was a Persian[1][2] philosopher, and one of the most influential thinkers in mystical or Sufi philosophy. He played a pivotal role in the study of knowledge—or epistemology, which in his context referred specifically to the theoretical elaboration of mystical/intellectual insight. He combined a highly original mystic-thinker, Muḥyī al-Dīn Ibn 'Arabī[3] (1165-1240 CE/560-638 AH), whose arcane teachings Qūnavī codified and helped incorporate into the burgeoning pre-Ottoman intellectual tradition, on the one hand, with the logical/philosophical innovations of Ibn Sīnā (Lat., Avicenna), on the other.[4] Though relatively unfamiliar to Westerners, the spiritual and systematic character of Qūnawī's approach to reasoning, in the broadest sense of the term, has found fertile soil in modern-day Turkey, North Africa and Iran not to mention India, China, the Balkans and elsewhere over the centuries.

His tomb is parallel to Meram Yeni Yol and on Dere Road from Fidanlık stop; It is in Turut Locality. The tomb was built with stone on the bottom and brick on the top. There is a masjid adjacent to the tomb. The funeral home is entered through the door in the back street. It is estimated that one of the seven sarcophagi in the tomb belongs to Cemel Ali Dede, and the others belong to people who were sheikhs in the hermitage. The primary school located in the same place has not survived to the present day.

Who is Tavus Baba? Is she a sheikh or a female saint? It is still unknown. İbrahim Hakkı Konyalı: “Hatamu Dede Lodge is in Meram. We don't know its location today. We estimate that this lodge is adjacent to the tomb called TAVUS BABA TOMB. It is very likely that Tavus Baba is the name of one of the sheikhs of this zawiya. The inside of the tomb is made of brick and the outside is made of stone. Its top is covered with what is called a monastery vault. Only one window was opened to the right. Inside there is a sarcophagus plastered with ordinary mortar.” He says and does not give any name about the person lying here. Mesut Koman Bey and the late Mehmet Önder are of the opinion that the name of the person buried here is Sheikh Tavus Mehmet.
