Tazumal
Tazumal was an important ceremonial and political center during the Classic Mesoamerican period (200 AD - 900 AD). It is estimated that the city reached its peak between 500 and 800 AD, when it had a population of around 10,000 inhabitants. The city was abandoned for reasons still unknown, but it is believed that it may have been due to a combination of factors, such as droughts, wars or volcanic eruptions.

Parque Arqueologico Casa Blanca
Casa Blanca flourished between the Late Preclassic period (500 BC - 250 AD) and the Classic period (250 AD - 900 AD), being an important ceremonial and political center. Its name refers to the coffee plantation that once occupied the land where the park is located today.

San Andres
San Andrés Archaeological Park. Dating back to the Late Classic period (600-900 AD), this site was once a thriving Mayan city and now offers a fascinating tour of the history and culture of this ancient civilization.
