Overview
This fell is a real winter wonderland. The snowy trees at the top of the peak are a unique phenomenon which looks like snowy creatures and the silent view continues for as long as you can see. We'll wander around with snowshoes, follow trails and find our way through deep snow. By the campfire we have nettle pancakes and you'll hear stories about Riisitunturi fell and the nature around us.
In January the magical blue light surrounds us and we and can admire the magical landscape in that special winter light. In February we start to get more sunlight and in March is spring winter time. Then we have long days, sun, snow and even more snow. Full moon tours in the middle of the night are our favourites!

- You need own outdoor clothing and boots which are suitable for current weather.

What To Expect
Riisitunturi snowshoe excursion is a hike in Riisitunturi National Park with it's beautiful sceneries. In winter the spruce trees that cover many of Riisitunturi National Park's hillsides are clad with a thick coating of condensed frost, creating a photogenic white forest. During our hike we learn about the nature and have a trail lunch by the campfire.
