What To Expect
Typically, the class starts with a lively warm-up to prep your body for the energetic rhythm of samba. This involves dynamic stretches, breathing exercises, and dance activities to loosen up.
Next, the instructor dives into teaching basic samba steps, emphasizing hip, leg, and arm movements. Attentiveness to music and rhythm is crucial, as samba is syncopated.
As the session progresses, more steps and advanced moves are introduced, forming a complete samba routine. Regular practice is key to mastering these steps and syncing them seamlessly with the music.
