Schooner Alexander Hamilton
Built in Gallows Bay, Charlestown by Nevisians just feet away from the birthplace of the great man Hamilton himself.
The planning of started in 1979. Her keel was laid in 1981 by Ralph Harris,
She is a re-creation of a traditional 18th-century schooner. With a keel of greenheart from Guyana, ribs and frame cut and trimmed by hand from the slopes of Mount Nevis. The masts were sourced from a utility company in the USVI.
Built to introduce visitors to a time when materials were transported under sail from island to island.
Sailing aboard Alexander Hamilton is a totally unique experience that you will wish to share with others.
