The Fallen Timbers Battlefield is one of the most historic sites in Northwest Ohio. It is where the Western Native American Confederation made its final stand in 1794. On this walking tour, Tedd will dive into the history and debunk a few of the myths surrounding the battle that led to the Treaty of Greenville in 1795 and opened the Northwest Territory to settlement.
The tour starts at the Fallen Timbers Battlefield Metropark. You’ll walk around the Northwest Territory Trail and explore key locations on the battlefield. You’ll hear details about the famous skirmish here come alive with the voices of those who fought, and Tedd will also share some important modern-day discoveries about this historic conflict.
With Tedd in your ear, you’ll walk away with a greater insight into this important event.
The tour starts at the Fallen Timbers Battlefield Metropark at US23/I-475 and US24 (Anthony Wayne Trail). The parking lot and visitors centre are located on Jerome Road. The starting point is the large compass embedded in the ground at the head of the Northwest Territory Trail.
This activity ends back at the meeting point.
