Chiloe is a land of elves, magic and traditions. On this excursion we will mainly visit Puñuhuil, which is a series of islets, full of life. Sea ??lions, seals, birds of all kinds and mainly Magellanic and Humboldt penguins
The Magellanic and Humboldt penguins, which we can see from a distance of approximately 50 m. It should be noted that this is the only part of the world where these two species cohabit.
An ideal tour to learn about the fauna and habitat of penguins and other birds in southern Chile.

What To Expect
Canal De Chacao
We begin the tour in our way to Pargua, south of Puerto Varas city; here we will aboard a ferry to sail through the Chacao Channel, this channel separates the continent of Chiloe Island. During the navigation we see sea wolves, pelicans and sea birds endemic in this area. The ferry berths at Chacao pier, here we see the houses that are built with Alerce wood, and the Churches that are National Heritage Site.

Santuario de Aves de Caulin
then continue along a coast route and we are going to visit Caulín beach, a place very famous for the oysters an a rich marine fauna.

Islotes de Punihuil
ater we will go to Puñihuil beach; there we get a boat, that will take us to a small island where we find the magallanes Penguin and Humboldt Penguin, this is the place where this two species make their nests, an during generations they have coexisted together, making this islands the only place in the world where this happens. The tour guide will explain to us the way of life of these birds, the surroundings and the abundance of food that makes possible that these islands become a wild paradise. It’s important to say that Puñihuil was declared National Heritage for its ecological relevance.

Fuerte San Antonio
The San Antonio Fort; this historic place is located in the highest part of the city, built at the latest part of XVIII Century and is part of one of the last Spanish fortications in our country,

Afer we continue our trip to Ancud city, where we can see the Local Churches Heritage Foundation, the Mains Square, and the Central Market, this one offers many gastronomic and crafts options of the island.
