Take your tamale game to the next level in this multi-variety tamale-making class. Discover the incredible diversity of Mexican tamales, prepare two iconic versions, and enjoy a meal fit for a monarch.
What awaits you is a very complete culinary experience. Your guide will tell you about the fascinating history of tamales and give you all the expert tips and tricks you need to get the best possible results when you make them at home.
We can happily plan for most dietary requirements, but unfortunately, strict kosher is not possible at this time.

- Those over 18 will be offered Mexican beer and mezcal, and others will enjoy traditional local soft drinks.
- I'll give you all the ingredients, equipment and guidance you need to prepare two types of tamales. There'll also be dessert, but I'll prepare that before you arrive.

What To Expect
See an iconic Mexican dish in a completely new way after this multi-variety tamal-making workshop.
At the beautiful La Condesa home of your knowledgeable guide, you’ll learn about the dizzying diversity of the world of Mexican tamales before rolling up your sleeves and preparing two different versions of this iconic favorite from scratch.
Just over an hour later, you’ll set the table with beautiful, locally-made dinnerware and enjoy a classic green tamal with its tangy tomatillo-based filling, straight from the steamer, as well as a lesser-known fresh corn tamal, whose natural sweetness you’ll complement with a smoky chipotle salsa of your own making. Delicious!
Dietary requirements will be accommodated, and Mexican beer and soft drinks will keep you hydrated throughout the experience.
