Minneriya National Park

Spanning a 15-acre estate that is located around 10 kilometres to the northwest of the town of Kegalle, the Millennium Elephant Foundation (MEF) is a charity that rescues and subsequently cares for captive Asian elephants in Sri Lanka. It raises money for its activities through tourist fees and volunteer programs. The funds it raises are then used to improve the conditions and care it provides for its elephants, as well as to run educational programs for local farmers and their families, raising awareness of the importance of protecting local wild elephants.

Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic

The golden-roofed Temple of the Sacred Tooth houses Sri Lanka’s most important Buddhist relic – a tooth of the Buddha. During puja (offerings or prayers), the heavily guarded room housing the tooth is open to devotees and tourists. However, you don’t actually see the tooth. It’s kept in a gold casket shaped like a dagoba (stupa), which contains a series of six dagoba caskets of diminishing size.

The Nuwara Eliya tea factory that called Damro Labookellie Tea Centre (former Mackwoods) and is the oldest tea centre in Sri Lanka. In this tea factory, they make white and black tea, while the green tea is processed in another tea factory and then sent to Damro. Hikkaduwa Beach

Hikkaduwa is one of the best surfing spots in Sri Lanka, offering a clear hot water base. The waves vary in size from 4 to 11 feet. Surfing in the Hikkaduwa area is fairly well known and gets the best surfing during its dry season, which is from November to March. There are 4 hotspots in Hikkaduwa. Ruwa River Safari

KOSGODA Turtle Conservation and Research Centre

Kande Viharaya Temple
