Overview
The highlight of this tour is that the characteristics of the cenotes are different, as two are open (1. Cenote Xooch and 2. Cenote Pool Cocom), another closed (3. Cenote Cascabel) and the last, semi-open (4. Cenote Chaksinkin); all surrounded by native flora and fauna, all 4 have stairs for safe access. This parador is the only one in Yucatán that has an elevator to access one of its cenotes (El cenote Pool Cocom) for the exclusive use of people in wheelchairs, adults or pregnant people.
To get to 3 of these cenotes you take a train or bicycle and you have free time of one hour to swim in each one. You can also enjoy the facilities where there are lounge chairs to enjoy the site and play areas so the little ones can have fun.
We finish the tour with a delicious meal in a typical restaurant in the same place in Santa Barbara, which has a wide variety of dishes to choose from.

What To Expect
This is the first meeting point where we pick up travelers for this tour. Departure from here is punctual at 08:00 am (with a maximum tolerance time of 10 minutes). Later we go to the next meeting point which is the Santa Ana park and we finish at the third meeting point which is the Fiesta Americana hotel. Before leaving Mérida we stop at a store to buy water and snacks for the road. Once we have everyone on board and after making the stop at the store, we begin our journey to the first point of this incredible tour. The time to get to the town of Homún is 1 hour on the road, this is where these fascinating cenotes are located.

This tour begins with a visit to the town of Homún, in the Santa Bárbara park. Here you can choose between bicycle or train to travel to the first cenote called Cascabel. This cenote is a cavern type, you will have 1 hour of time to swim and take photos. You always go in the company of the certified guide.

Later we moved to the second cenote called Chaksinkin, it is very close to the first so we can walk or bike. This cenote is semi-open type, you will have 1 hour of time to swim and take photos. You always go in the company of the certified guide.

We move to the third cenote called Xooch, we walk or bike. This cenote is open type, you will have 1 hour of time to swim and take photos. You always go in the company of the certified guide.

Santa Barbara Cenotes & Restaurant
After visiting the third cenote, we take the way back to the main entrance by train or bicycle, then we walk a few meters to reach the fourth cenote called Pool Cocom. This cenote is open type, it has a beautiful viewpoint and elevator access for people in wheelchairs, the elderly and pregnant women. You will have 1 hour of time to swim and take photos. You always go in the company of the certified guide. We finish the tour at the restaurant of the same parador in Santa Barbara, where you will have a dish to choose from a wide variety of delicious typical dishes.

We finish this tour at the same meeting point where we picked you up in the morning, starting with the last one which is the Fiesta Americana hotel and ending at the Viajes Colibrí office. The travel time back to Mérida is 1 hour from Homún.
