This tea activity is different from what you would find elsewhere in Shanghai. Your guide Zoey is a registered dietitian, a chinese medicine food therapist, and a born-and-raised Shanghainese. She will teach you everything about tea and more! The hanfu experience is also a great opportunity to take photos to show off to your friends and family. We only take up to 6 students per group to ensure intimate setting and best experience. We are here to make sure you have the best experience!
We will meet at 长阳路62号 摩西会馆 (62 Chang Yang RD. near the Jewish Refugee Museum).
This activity ends back at the meeting point.
The art of tea is deeply rooted in Chinese culture. We love to drink tea everyday -- no, not the kind in tea bags. During this unique activity, you will taste premium Chinese tea and learn all about the different kinds of loose leaf tea with your guide Zoey, a Traditional Chinese Medicine food therapist. You will leave knowing the difference between white, black, green, red, herbal, and pu'er tea!
Before drinking tea, you will have the opportunity to change into our traditional clothes-- hanfu. Hanfu is the clothes of the Han ethnic group, which the majority of the Chinese belong to! Don't be shy, we will teach you how to wear them and we would love to see you in our clothes!
