Trat is a province with character and a transportation hub along Thailand’s eastern coastline that connects Thai idylls with the mainland when tropical escapes off the Thai-Cambodian border are on your itinerary. Famous for its gemstones and trading, it is Thailand’s eastern-most province sharing its coastal charm with Cambodia. The home province of islands such as Koh Chang and Koh Kood, mainland Trat is less of a destination of itself but seen as the place to head out to when seeking rest and respite on one of its islands. With its own small airport as an alternative to head out into the Gulf of Thailand or further afield into Cambodia, this comfortable ride may just well be the travel option for your needs.

What To Expect
After going through all airport formalities and picking up your belongings from the right belt at one of Bangkok’s International Airport, your car and driver are ready to safely drive to Trat and your holiday resort. Through a corridor of other guides, you will recognize your guide as he holds up your name at the exit door for either international or domestic arrivals. Guides will guide you to your air-conditioned vehicle, ready for a swift ride out from the capital and onto the main express way in southern direction. With both airports excellently connected towards Thailand’s main highways, you will be out of Bangkok in no time. Via highway numbers 7 and 3, the main connection that has made overland travel possible between Bangkok and the eastern coastline, the driver follows the road straight towards Trat. Following the flat landscape, dotted with factories and sceneries of green, an authentic, somewhat sleepy side of Thailand will soon make way for a more happening side of vibrant Trat.
A dominant factor of what makes Trat such an important stop is its the proximity of the Gulf of Thailand wherever you may be, offering numerous ferry services towards idyllic island escapes, an overland gateway to Cambodia, woven into great seafood and authentic Thai scenery.
We reach the town of Trat after existing highway number 7 and 3 and alight right at the doorstep of your resort, boat pier, or Trat’s domestic airport. Assisted by your guide, it is time to check in, away from it all.

- Transfers are only operated within the Trat district such as boat piers, the official border crossing with Cambodia via Klong Yai, and Trat’s domestic airport only. Regions outside the central business district such as Koh Chang, Koh Mak, Koh Kood, and any other surrounding islands resort outside the Trat city borders are excluded and supplementary charges apply.
- The fleet used for transfers are considered the best available and follow strict guidelines in terms of safety and insurance standards as outlined by the country of operation.
- All used transportation come with professional driver, air-conditioning system, first-aid kit and spare parts in case of any incident.
- We would like to draw your attention that only a very few of the drivers in this destination speak proper English.
- Due to the size of the vehicle used, we may not be able to assist wheelchair users at all times. • We always will make efforts to match your flight arrival time.
- The mentioned transfer times are approximations; we are unable to exactly predict the total duration from pick-up to drop-off based on unforeseen circumstances such as traffic and weather conditions, alongside the location of your resort.
- Guests are requested not to bring more than one suitcase and one piece of hand luggage per person on transfers due to available luggage space on private cars.
- It is the responsibility of the customer to provide us with the correct flight information. Any changes in flight details outside 24 hours will be handled accordingly: changes within 24 hours may be on request.
- Transfers operated outside the local boat schedules from and to the outlying islands may affect transfer operations.
