Overview
I promise you a very nice guided tour, in French, of Suomenlinna (Unesco site). Today home to 850 Helsinki residents, this former maritime fortress is also the most visited tourist site in Finland. On the program, there will be: a short ferry cruise, walking (4 km), varied settings, unusual panoramas, fascinating explanations, more or less true stories and a few riddles. And, of course, you can ask me any questions you want. You will soon know almost everything about Finland and the Finns! We will meet in the tourist heart of Helsinki, on the Market Square (Kauppatori), and more precisely in front of the waiting room of the ferry pier for Suomenlinna. I'll take care of your tickets.

What To Expect
Sea Fortress Suomenlinna
Walking tour of Suomenlinna, in French with me (Doro). Go to the pier to take the ferry. I'll take care of your tickets. The cruise lasts around fifteen minutes. We will probably have the company of seagulls. When we arrive, you will be surprised. Neat pink facades, elegant vegetation: not a hint of the military austerity you might have imagined. Suomenlinna is today home to 800 Helsinki residents. It is also a Unesco site which welcomes nearly a million visitors per year. Our route will make a 4 km loop. We will pass in front of the houses of Russian merchants and in front of the Church, we will pass by the Great Court, we will see the dry dock, we will cross the Piper Park, we will walk on the sand ramparts, we will go down the stairs of the King's Gate , we will go see Finland's only submarine. We will finally return to the pier to take the ferry again.
