This hiking tour takes place in the forest on the lava plateau which is made of lava flow during the eruption of Mt. Ontake 54,000 years ago. The forest is filled with stories and beautiful nature of Hida-Osaka.
With a guide, you will visit 3 waterfalls, and hidden spots in the forest that only guided hikers can visit. On this tour, you will also enjoy an open-air tea ceremony in the forest.
This tour includes lunch break during the tour, and you will also enjoy bento lunch filled with local ingredients prepared by the local kitchen.
Hida-Osaka is accessible both from Takayama and Gero in 40-50 minutes either by train or bus or car. The area is surrounded by mountains and forests.
