Since 2013, I have been crafting, refining & sharing this unique experience, one small batch at a time, with thousands of guests from around the world.

What's Included

- A delicious, home-made, starlit picnic dinner of locally-inspired tapas, highlighting the regions rich & diverse tradition of flavor: It's a healthy, hearty, nourishing, & friendly to all eaters.
- It's best to bring (and reuse many times!) your own water bottle, but I have extras, and provide refills throughout the day.
- Sunset is time for a glass of wine (or two!)
- Backpacks, water bottles, wind & rain protection, warm jackets, beach towels & more, provided as needed..

We meet in a small residential parking lot, 15min walk from downtown Lagos, 30min from Dona Ana beach. Wait by the palm trees in the grass. This is a prefect meeting point: It's quiet, spacious, shaded, easy to find by car or foot, and has free parking. Please aim to arrive early, just in case :)

What To Expect
Discover Europe's most undiscovered coastline on a one-of-a-kind journey deep into the Algarve's Costa Vicentina Natural Park, aka "The West Coast."
My hands-on, handcrafted adventure blends movement, action & discovery with wonder, reflection & appreciation, then finishes with a special sunset food experience.
This is not the Algarve you expected: This is her wild side, the 'End of the World.'
And this is not a sightseeing tour: This is a full-sensory outdoor experience designed to challenge, inspire & (re)connect.
Sitting on the beach just isn't enough? This was made for you.

HIKE across Portugal's tallest cliffs, most dramatic landscapes & most secret beaches.

SWIM in the sea, if we want.
WITNESS a magical sunset from the edge of Europe.
ENJOY a clifftop dinner of Algarvian tapas & wine.
SQUEEZE every last drop out of the day.
RETURN home refreshed, rewarded & ready for a good night sleep.
Additional Info
- Public transportation options are available nearby
- Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
- THIS TRIP IS DESIGNED TO BE INCLUSIVE & ACCESSIBLE to most all healthy, active people. However, this is a physical experience that requires a basic level of good fitness.
- THE DAY IS BIG, BUT *NOT* EXHAUSTING: We spend about 4-5 hrs hiking, but always at a relaxed pace, taking breaks & adapting to diverse abilities.
- THE CHALLENGE comes from the terrain, which can be rocky, loose, steep & slippery. As well, we will be near to some high cliffs & edges, which require care and attention to move around..
- NO SPECIAL SKILLS ARE REQUIRED. You only need a basic, normal level of good balance, coordination & full-body mobility.
- THE #1 REQUIREMENT is that you have a positive attitude, the desire to put in some hard work, & the ability to overcome challenges with a smile ;)
- GUESTS 60+ should feel extra confident that you are healthy, fit, & have good mobility. The more "advanced" your age, the more confident you should feel that you are capable of... (1) a few hours of sustained, low-level aerobic activity (like a long walk or bike ride); (2) shorter periods of more vigorous exertion (like hiking a big, steep hill, or playing a good game of tennis); (3) the balance and full-body mobility to move across areas of loose, uneven, or slippery terrain that might require using hands and whole bodies; (4) the spirit for adventure and the ability to take on some (potential) challenges with a smile :)
- The "small group tour" experience is for age 17+ only. Families with children must book a Private tour.
