Overview
On this route you will be able to discover many curiosities of Torrevieja that you probably did not know, such as its vineyards, which were crucial in the 19th century. xix after the phyllosera plague. All of this developed in an incredible environment such as the La Mata Natural Park.
Furthermore, and as it could not be otherwise, culture is gastronomy, so the tasting will be paired with a selection of local and traditional products as well as carefully selected organic wines.

Meeting point
The meeting point is at the La Mata Interpretation Center. It is a small white and blue house that is next to the parking lot where you can park your cars. Our guides will wait for you there

What To Expect
We will start with a short historical explanation of the Natural Park and its unique vineyards.
Next we will go to see the centuries-old vineyards and explain the main characteristics that make them so special. We will continue walking through the spectacular Natural Park and will make two brief stops: one to see the channel that connects the sea with the lagoon and another to spot the local birds such as the plover and flamingos.
Once the entire walk through the natural park to learn about these vineyards is over, we will move on to an idyllic environment where we will sit down to begin the tasting and pairing of:
- 3 DO wines from Alicante.
- 1 wine from the Mata Natural Park.
- 2 premium extra virgin oils of the arbequina and picual varieties.
- 2 homemade and local tapas.
All products are nearby, local and homemade.
