This amazing food tour takes in the best of historical and cultural Belizean cuisine with a twist of mayan ingredients that may fire your appetite for more local food and hunger for more of the impressive El Castillo at Xunantunich.
Our guide meets you 730am at your hotel IN town, you'll visit the San Ignacio town market, followed by your guided tour of Xunantunich, then more tasting of scrumptious pibil (pork dish) & local rice & beans and for your grand finale: AJAW chocolate: taste organic fresh cacao fruit, sun dried & roasted cacao nibs, organic dark chocolate, ancient chocolate drink and local dark chocolate.

pickup TIME: 730am in SAN IGNACIO TOWN. (go light on your resort breakfast, so you can start sampling/tasting food without regret) Must provide name of hotel/resort to confirm location. Any hotel/resort OUTSIDE San Ignacio Town will incur an additional fee depending on distance outside of tour. DOES not include: pickups to/from Belize city, Belmopan, islands, anywhere on our coastal areas. we do not offer pickup/drop off to any island or cruise ship passengers YOU are NOT SURE if your hotel/resort is in town or within our complimentary pickup & drop off - email us the name, address of your lodging and we'll let you know if it is included.

after visiting the san ignacio town market your guide/driver will take you to xunantunich for your guided tour of the site. Take the time to enjoy some hidden places at this site, take your time to climb El Castillo and enjoy the weather (sunny, windy, rainy dry, making the best of it) and just enjoy the beautiful landscape. this tour will give you another great excuse to stop at a local restaurant for LUNCH!!! Bring a good spirit and great appetite for more!

after an early morning taste of local fruits or fast food, a great Xunantunich tour, you will be more than happy to stop for lunch and taste some delicious food at a local restaurant which can be in San Jose Succotz, or on the way to san ignacio town
