We are currently the only company offering Biofluorescent night walks in the U.K. Biofluorescence is a hidden form of communication that we do not normally get to see. Using specialised UV torches we can get an insight into this amazing and colourful world. It allows us to get an idea of what it would be like if we could see ultraviolet light. Biofluorescence is known to occur in a variety of organisms including insects, plants, lichen, fungi, fish, coral, amphibians, birds, mammals and more. Seeing the world of Biofluorescence allows anyone to see nature in a whole new light.

Join us for an extraordinary adventure as we explore the fascinating world of biofluorescence! Biofluorescence is the ability of certain organisms to reflect light in a different colour than the one they absorbed, usually in response to UV light. With UV torches provided, we will venture into the night to witness a stunning display of biofluorescent organisms in their natural habitat. From fungi to insects and plants, we will encounter a diverse mix of species that come alive with vibrant hues of green, blue, red, purple, and more, revealing Nature’s hidden spectacles. This guided walk is suitable for anyone aged 8 years and above, all children must be accompanied by an adult. Please come prepared with warm clothing as the pace of the walk is slow. We recommend sturdy shoes as the terrain is uneven (walking boots ideal, but trainers adequate) and wearing trousers to avoid stinging nettles. Safety glasses will be provided and must be worn throughout the walk for your protection.
