The two storey building 'Attara Kacheri' houses the Karnataka High Court. The construction dates back to the year 1867 under the reign of Tipu Sultan, the Emperor of Mysore. It is said that the offices of the eighteen departments of Revenue and General Secretariat expanded to quite a big extent. Since there was no place for housing the offices inside the palace.
