Kawagoe, located just an hour by train from Tokyo, is a beloved destination for Japanese locals.
Immerse yourself in the town's rich history with the help of a knowledgeable guide who is passionate about Kawagoe.
Once a thriving castle town from the 17th century to the mid-19th century, the town still boasts well-preserved traditional buildings from that period. Its former prosperity is attributed to its flourishing commercial trade with Edo, what Tokyo used to be called.
Kawagoe offers a unique experience with its picturesque "kurazukuri" buildings constructed by wealthy merchants and Western-style buildings from the period when Japan became westernized(over a century ago), all located within a compact area. Today, some of these historical buildings have been repurposed into trendy cafes and restaurants.
Its charming streets are a popular filming location for TV dramas and movies. Why not capture some of your own memories and feel like a movie star by taking some great pictures?

We will visit ・Kita-In temple(Please also cover the guide's fee) - "Kitain Temple" has a history of nearly 200 years. By strolling through the spacious and lush grounds, you can enjoy the changing seasons of nature ・Walk streets with Western-style buildings -You can explore the exotic and retro-modern Western-style architecture. ・ Kawagoe's Warehouse District -You can take a stroll through a street of buildings dating back 100 to 200 years ago and enjoy a time slip experience.
