The Jim Corbett National Park in foothills of the Kumaon Himalaya is one winter destination you shouldn’t miss. Jim Corbett is spread over an area of 521 sq Km and is home to several animal species. Winter season makes Jim Corbett the busiest wildlife safari zones in India. The place is visited by wildlife enthusiasts from all over the world. The temperature in winters comes down to 2 to -4°C.

Manali Circuit

Manali is one hill station in North India that should be on your bucket list when you are visiting North India in winters. If you plan well in advance you can get amazing places to stay and at very reasonable prices. It is a perfect destination for a family vacation or with friends. Make sure to go in December if you are a snow fan. Manali is home to many breathtaking forests in Naggar town. You can also go around the entire circuit including Kullu, Kasol, Rohtang and Solang.

Gangtok

Gangtok sits along the eastern Himalayan ranges and with its snow-covered mountains in winters it becomes one of the best places to visit North India in winters. The fog in winters makes it magical. You can visit the Nathula Pass, Pumtek Monastery, Banjhakri falls and click this picturesque destination. Reaching Gangtok is easy since you can take a flight to Bagdogra or a train to the nearest train to Siliguri.

Amritsar

Amritsar is one of the places to visit in North India in winters. You can visit the Jallianwala Bagh, Golden temple and go sightseeing in the city. Mussorie in winters is covered with a blanket of snow and that brings out its beauty. This beautiful destination has winters that bring the temperature down to 2 degrees. You can visit Kempty Falls, K Dev Bhoomi Wax Museum, Company Bagh, Lal Tibba, Bhatta Falls, Dhanaulti and click thousands of pictures. The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun and nearest railways station is Dehradun Railway Station. You can also take a bus from Delhi or Dehradun to Mussorie.
